Interview with Beth Yates, who served with RAF Medical Services in the Falkland Islands, supported the RAF’s response to the Covid pandemic and served with the RAF Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron.
Beth Yates remembers medical training and service in the Falkland Islands, including cooperation with Stanley hospital and arranging medical treatment in the UK for Falkland Islanders. She remembers the start of the Covid pandemic, a posting to the Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron in July 2020, work on the vaccination programme and the transport of seriously ill patients. She describes her involvement in the evacuation of people from Kabul during Operation Pitting.
