In 2021 the UK established Space Command, its mission is to protect the UK and her allies interests in, to and from space. It is a joint service command with personnel from all three services, the civil service and civilian contractors

Space Command based at RAF High Wycombe has three missions which are to operate the UK's space operations, such as Skynet communications satellites and RAF Fylingdales Early Warning system. To identify and train personnel in the space defence sector and generate UK's future space capabilities alongside allies and industry.
