Ray Dillon served as an air defence radar operator at various UK locations, including RAF Boulmer, Saxa Vord and Neatishead. He describes his role in tracking, categorising and reacting to aircraft approaching the UK. He remembers working at the regional air operations centre at RAF High Wycombe, deployments to Belize and the Falkland Islands, the development of new equipment, the introduction of computer systems and the increasing use of computers.
