Flight Engineers log book, typescript account and three airfield photographs
David Aggersberg joined the Royal Navy as a Naval Airman II in April 1942. In June 1943 he was deemed 'unsuited for flying duties'. The next month he joined the the RAF and was accepted for aircrew training becoming a flight engineer. Aggersberg served with No. 296 Squadron from 18 October 1944-18 January 1946, he participated in dropping SOE supplies to Norway, Operation Varsity the airborne assault across the Rhine and then numerous operations to Norway following the German surrender.
