Interview with Tony Smith, who served as an RAF navigator in Canberra, Valiant and Victor bomber aircraft. He describes his experience of operating each aircraft type during the Cold War.

Tony Smith recalls his training as an RAF navigator and his experience of operations in Canberra bomber aircraft of 50 Squadron at RAF Upwood. He describes his training in Avro Lincoln bomber aircraft and conversion to Valiant bomber aircraft. He describes Valiant operations with 7 Squadron, the squadron’s disbandment and his conversion to Victor bomber aircraft. He compares the Valiant to the Victor and describes Victor operations with 100 Squadron.
