RAF Halton: New Entry - first experiences reel 1

Film featuring newsreel footage of the 1937 RAF Display, held at RAF Hendon, and amateur film of new recruits arriving, collecting their uniform and starting their training at RAF Halton.

A Movietone newsreel shows scenes of the 1937 RAF Display, held at RAF Hendon, including formation flying, aerobatics, parachuting, balloon-busting and bombing a mock-up target. Amateur film then shows new recruits arriving at Wendover station and travelling by bus to RAF Halton. Boys in civilian clothes carry their kit across a parade ground and are seen during drill training and physical training. They then depart in uniform and with suitcases.
