Recorded interview with Squadron Leader John Robinson, 11 January 2024

John Robinson was a pilot in Canberra aircraft in support of British nuclear testing in Australia and the Pacific. As a flying instructor he flew with the then-Prince of Wales.

John Robinson flew Canberra aircraft with 44 Squadron at RAF Cottesmore and with 76 Squadron at RAF Weston Zoyland. He remembers how 76 Squadron deployed to Australia and then to Christmas Island in support of British nuclear weapons testing. He later served with 542 Squadron at RAF Hemswell and with 228 Operational Conversion Unit at RAF Leeming. As a Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI) he flew with the then-Prince of Wales.
