Interview with Emma Mistry, who served as an RAF radar operator in the UK and at sea with the Royal Navy, and went on to work at the RAF Museum.
Emma Mistry was an aerospace systems operator and served at RAF Buchan, RAF Boulmer and with 1 Air Control Centre (1 ACC). She describes her work with radar, including the plotting of Russian aircraft approaching the UK, and the requirement for a heavy goods vehicle licence while serving with 1 ACC. She served in the aircraft carrier HMS Invincible during the Kosovo crisis and later worked for the RAF Museum.
