The scrapbook covers bomb disposal activities of No.5131 Squadron in the UK, circa 1960. The work undertaken by the squadron, was the clearance of bombs washed up on beaches and found in locations across the country, whether enemy or Allied. This included clearing a 3000 acre site for the soon to be built RAF Fylingdales Ballistic Missile Early Warning System which was littered with ordnance left by the army during the Second World War.
