Helen Seymour and Nicola ‘Rosie’ Steevenson flew together as Tornado F3 pilot and navigator. They discuss various aspects of air defence operations. Helen later went on to fly the Typhoon.

Helen Seymour and Rosie Steevenson outline the backgrounds to becoming an RAF pilot and navigator respectively. They remember how they first met at RAF Leeming, and how they flew together in Tornado F3 aircraft of 25 Squadron. They describe air defence training, quick reaction alert, scramble takeoffs and the interception of other aircraft. Helen remembers her later experience in the Typhoon fighter aircraft and compares it to the Tornado F3.
