Recorded interview with Squadron Leader Lucy Playle, 7 February 2025

Lucy Playle served in various human resources, administrative and welfare roles. In 2024 she was RAF detachment commander in Jordan in support of the dropping of humanitarian supplies into Gaza.

Lucy Playle served in administrative roles at RAF High Wycombe, Lyneham, Brize Norton, Akrotiri and Waddington. After being commissioned as an officer she commanded the administration flight at RAF Fylingdales and was deployment administration officer for Operation Shader. She deployed to Al Udeid in support of deployment administration officers across the Middle East and was detached to Jordan to command the RAF element supporting humanitarian parachute supply drops into Gaza.
