Engagement by Red Section of a single Dornier Do 17 off the coast of Yarmouth, it is believed that the Hawker Hurricane piloted by Canadian Pilot Officer Norman Campbell was hit by return fire from the Dornier. His aircraft crashed into the sea, his body was later recovered and he was buried at Scottow Cemetery, Norfolk on 31 October 1940.
