Interview in which Jonathan Murnane discusses his experience as a navigator in Chinook helicopters, including Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan and casualty evacuation flights with the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT).
Jonathan Murnane explains how he joined the RAF as a navigator and was streamed to Chinook helicopters. He describes the roles and teamwork within a Chinook crew, the Chinookâs performance, design and capability and his experience of Chinook Bravo November. He remembers operations in Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan, including casualty evacuation operations with the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT). He reflects on his time as commanding officer of 18 Squadron.
