He outlines his responsibilities there, including contact with senior officers, responsibility for guarding Air Chief Marshal Paddy Hine and work as a driving instructor. He was forced to leave the RAF due to his sexuality and discusses his feelings on this and on the later government apology to those affected by the armed forces ban on gay people.
