Jackie Towl remembers the loss of her husband in an air accident, support available at the time and later through the RAF Widows Association and her work for the Association.

Jackie Towl outlines husband’s career as a navigator in Buccaneer and Tornado aircraft and tells how he died in an accident on 17 June 1986 while training in a Tornado aircraft. She remembers the inquest, funeral and a visit to the crash site. She describes the support provided by the RAF Widows Association, changes over time in policy relating to widows and her own work for the RAF Widows Association.
