2,000lb Armour Piercing Bomb Mk 2

In 1942 2,000lb Armour Piercing Bombs were used as a special weapon to attack German battlecruisers while in dock.

Their thick casings and pointed tips would allow these bombs to penetrate hardened structures like armoured decks. In 1944 they found a secondary role when they were deployed in attacks on underground oil storage plants.
