Apprentice Technicians - RAF Style
Film illustrating the range of technical specialisations open through the RAF’s apprenticeships. Various RAF aircraft are shown and the opportunity to participate in a range of recreational activities is highlighted.
Avro Vulcan bomber aircraft take off from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus and RAF personnel are seen during their basic training at RAF Swinderby. Recruits are then seen training in various specialist technical disciplines, including engine, airframe, communications, instrument and radar maintenance at RAF Halton and RAF Cosford. Footage showing a range of RAF aircraft is seen interspersed throughout and the variety of recreational activities open to apprentices is also highlighted.
