Framed case of medals awarded to Wing Commander Kenneth John Lawson
Wing Commander Kenneth John Lawson had participated in over 100 operational sorties before his Avro Lancaster was destroyed during an operation to attack Nuremberg on 3 January 1945.
Lawson was flying with No. 405 Squadron, RCAF, when he was killed. He had previously served with No. 149 and 156 Squadron. Displayed in a frame, Wing Commander Lawson's medals include the Distinguished Service Order and bar, Distinguished Flying Cross, 1939-1945 Star, Air Crew Europe Star with clasp France and Germany, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945. Air Efficiency Medal.
