Life Jacket, RAF, 1932 Pattern
This light khaki green, linen, life jacket contained kapok pads and an orally inflatable rubber bladders to keep the wearer afloat.
The 1932 Pattern was the standard life jacket used by the RAF until the introduction of the Mk I Life Jacket in 1941. This item is displayed on a figure depicting the appropriate flying clothing for an aircrew member during 1941.
