Pilots' flying log book of 2nd Lieutenant Thomas Audley Langford-Sainsbury, June 1917 (incomplete)
Pilot's flying log book recorded only five flying days, 15-20 June 2017 with No.41 Squadron.
In the inter-war period Langford-Sainsbury was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Force Cross and two bars. During the Second World War Langford-Sainsbury was Air Officer Commanding, held numerous staff appointments commanding No. 15 Group, he took up the post of Air Officer Commanding, No. 201 Group in March 1943, Air Officer Commanding the Easter Mediterranean in February 1943, Langford-Sainsbury was then Air Officer Commanding Egypt in November 1944, and in May 1945 Senior Air Staff Officer HQ Bomber Command. He retired in 1949 as an Air Vice Marshal.
