Pilot's flying log book of Captain Graham Knight Palmer RFC, 1916-1919
Captain Palmer of the Surrey Regiment gained his Royal Aero Club aviator's certificate at Catterick on 1 April 1916.
In June 1916 he was posted to France to join No.2 Squadron flying reconnaissance and bombing operations in B.E.2d aircraft. In November 1916 he returned to the UK for a period of instructing before joining No.58 Squadron on the 9 January 1918, the day before the squadron departed for France to embark on night bombing operations with F.E.2b aircraft. Palmer remained with the Squadron until July 1918. The log books records all his training, operational and instructing flights.
