RAF gun camera film taken from Spitfire and Hurricane fighter aircraft during the Battle of Britain. Several German fighter and bomber aircraft are seen during aerial combat. Titles provide detail.
RAF gun camera film dating from approximately September 1940. The footage was taken from RAF Fighter Command Hurricane and Spitfire fighter aircraft while engaged in combat against German Luftwaffe fighter and bomber aircraft, including Heinkel 111, Junkers 88, Messerschmitt 109 and Messerschmitt 110. Title frames provide information on the identity of the aircraft types involved. Analysis given in titles explains how Hurricanes were on some occasions mistaken for Messerschmitt 109s.
