The front section of the forward control car of HMA R.33

The first flight of the R.33 was in 1919. In 1925, the R.33 broke free from its mooring mast at Pulham and drifted over the North Sea. With the ship being moored only 20 crew members were aboard at the time. In the efforts to recover the R.33 three crew members were awarded a Bar to their respective Air Force Cross and Medals for steering the R.33 back to safety. In 1928, the R.33 was scrapped.
