Air Ministry Pamphlet: The Battle of Britain: August - October 1940, In Polish.
This Air Ministry pamphlet recounts the history of The Battle of Britain from August to October 1940. This edition is written in Polish. Polish pilots made an incredibly significant contribution to the Battle of Britain. Following the invasion of Poland by both Germany and the Soviet Union, in September 1939, many Polish pilots made their way to France. The first Polish pilots arrived in Britain in December 1939 and later, with France defeated in June 1940, more Polish air personnel continued to arrive. No. 303 Squadron, a Polish unit, was the highest scoring unit during The Battle of Britain, with 126 enemy aircraft claimed to have been defeated by them during the campaign.
