Report by Air Marshal Sir Hugh P. Lloyd KBE, CB, MC, DFC, concerning the proposed action of Tiger Force in the bombing of Japan.
Air Marshal Sir Hugh P. Lloyd was appointed as commander of Tiger Force in November 1944. Tiger Force was a long range bombing force formed in 1945, collated from units that were part of Bomber Command in the European theatre of war, with the intention of attacking targets in Japan following victory in Europe. After the dropping of atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the force was disbanded, having never actually engaged in operations.
