Film in which B.E.2 aircraft of 2 Squadron, Royal Flying Corps land on a beach at Seaton Carew. A large number of people are seen gathering to see the aircraft.
B.E.2 aircraft of 2 Squadron Royal Flying Corps are seen landing on a beach at Seaton Carew on 14th May 1914. The aircraft taxi and park in line as a large crowd of onlookers is held back by police officers. Aircrew, including 2 Squadron’s commanding officer, Major Charles Burke, disembark and are greeted by local dignitaries. Swift FR5 aircraft of 2 Squadron are then seen in Germany during the 1950s.
