R.A.F. Pageant June 1934

Footage of the 1934 RAF Display, held at RAF Hendon, includes displays of parachuting from Vickers Virginia bomber aircraft, formation aerobatics and flypasts and the destruction of a large balloon.

Film of the 1934 RAF display at RAF Hendon shows Vickers Virginia bombers taking off and dropping parachutists as they pass over the airfield. Flying boats pass overhead, fighter aircraft perform aerobatics, some trailing smoke, and make low passes over the airfield, a burning balloon falls to the ground and a number of aircraft give a demonstration of formation flying. Aircraft seen include Bristol Bulldogs, Hawker Harts and Westland Wapitis.
