King Feisal War Medal
Iraq Active Service Medal also known as King Faisal's War Medal awarded to Leading Aircraftman, later Corporal, Norman George Breadon of the Royal Air Force in the 1930s
The Iraq Active Service Medal was established in May 1926 by Faisal I bin al-Hussein bin Ali al-Hashemi, King of Iraq. It was awarded to Royal Air Force and British Army personnel who engaged in certain operations in Iraq from 1924 onwards on the recommendation of King Faisal which is why it is also called King Faisal’s War Medal. Corporal Norman George Breadon, RAF, was also awarded the Empire Gallantry Award in 1935
