Dennis was the tail gunner on Avro Lancaster NE166. The crew took off from Little Staughton in the early hours of 6 June on a mission to bomb a coastal battery at Longues. Dennis joined the RAF before the start of the Second World War and was awarded a DFM in 1943. He and his crew were lost without trace.
