First flight of TSR.2
Film documenting the first flight of the TSR2 aircraft from Boscombe Down, flown by Roland Beamont and Don Bowen. The TSR2 is seen on the ground and in the air.
A prototype TSR2 aircraft is seen on the ground at Boscombe Down as the pilot, Roland Beamont, prepares to fly the aeroplane. Beamont and his navigator, Don Bowen, board the aeroplane, the TSR2 taxis, makes a ground run along the runway and then takes off. It is seen in flight from the ground and in air-to-air footage, accompanied by a Lightning fighter aircraft. The TSR2 lands and the crew disembark.
