Interception control

Film in which Soviet Tu-95 ‘Bear’ aircraft are tracked by RAF radar operators and plotters and English Electric Lightning fighter aircraft scramble to intercept. Lightnings are seen escorting the Bear.

A Type 80 radar antenna is seen rotating and English Electric Lightning fighter aircraft are seen on the ground and in air-to-air footage. Aircraft movements are plotted in an operations room and Lightnings of 11 and 111 Squadrons scramble.
