Nimrod MRA4 First Delivery Medallion, 2010

This medallion was produced to mark the delivery of the first Nimrod MRA.4 maritime patrol aircraft in 2010. The project had cost over £3 billion pounds and was over a decade late in delivery, however, there were still concerns about the aircraft's airworthiness and in 2010 the project was cancelled and all the the airframes scrapped.

Paveway II is a guidance kit which is fitted to a general-purpose unguided bomb. Once released, the seeker head steers the bomb to the designated target by detecting a laser which is directed at the target. Later variants can be guided to their targets by GPS.

WE177C Nuclear practice bomb, inert

WE177 was a family of tactical air-dropped nuclear weapons carried by the RAF and Royal Navy, it was introduced into service in 1966 and retired in 1998, when the RAF became a non-nuclear force.
