120lb, General Purpose Bomb

The General Purpose range of bombs were designed to replace the older, First World War era munitions. The initial 1922 requirement called for bombs in the 50lb, 250lb and 500lb range with a 120lb requirement being added in 1924.

Robert Alan Marshall trained in Canada as a navigator. Marshall joined the RAF as a Sergeant, before being promoted to Pilot Officer, and served with Nos. 12 and 619 Squadrons. Marshall was later seconded to BOAC.

The United Nations Service Medal was the first international award created by the United Nations and was awarded to military service member of the Armed Force, allied with South Korea, who participated in the defense of South Korea from North Korea between 27 June 1950 and 27 July 1954 for a minimum of 30 days.
