This is a British-made model of a Second World War Blenheim Mk I light bomber used to train RAF personnel, particularly pilots, gunners and members of the Observer Corps, in the vital skill of aircraft recognition.

A Bristol Blenheim, Mk I, in flight at RAF Sembawang, Singapore. This photograph was taken whilst Arthur Stewart King Scarf was in Singapore in 1941. As a pilot in 1941, Squadron Leader Scarf was the only member of the RAF to be awarded the Victoria Cross for service in East Asia during the Second World War.
