Collection of papers relating to Warrant Officer Michael Joseph Moloney. Warrant Officer Moloney came from the Republic of Ireland. He voluntarily joined the RAF during the Second World War and remained in the RAF until 1963. The collection includes two aircrew flying log books, a warrant certificate and a quantity of photographs.

Pilot's flying log book of Squadron Leader Harold Arthur Cooper Bird-Wilson, 28 September 1937-18 June 1943

Bird-Wilson joined the RAF in 1937, after completing his flying training he was posted to No.17 Squadron. In September 1938, Brid Wilson was involved in a crash and suffered severe facial injuries, undergoing pioneering plastic surgery.

Medal Bar of Group Captain Geoffrey Brunner

During the Battle of Britain Geoffrey Brunner served with No. 43 Squadron. On 26 August 1940 in a raid off Portsmouth he was attacked by a Messerschmitt Bf 109. With no radio, engine or hydraulics, covered in petrol and wounded in the ankle, he successfully made a wheels-up landing at RAF Tangmere.
