Very long, thin, noticeably curved wooden structure. Light, open effect to save weight. Depth tapers towards trailing edge. Varnished all over. Part of a collection of components of varying size of original RAFM ex Nash Collection Bleriot XI, comprising three wing ribs (Originally 72/A/840 A,B,C) two undercarriage cross frames, (D,E) one main leg (F), one undercarriage cross frame metal strip, (G) two undercarriage leg ties (H,J), and bundle of three landing wires (K,K,M). All complete with some evidence of earlier repairs. A mix of wood and metal components, the wooden ones being shaped and jointed.

Heavy, solid carved wooden section horizontal undercarriage brace. Two square central fixing holes each with associated twin screw holes; circular and matching, smaller square, cut-outs at either end, both showing evidence of inserted repair or replacement wood around them, both ends being curved. Varnished all over.
