Squat, large sterling silver, three handled cup with hammered surface. Engraved ‘Presented to Claude Grahame-White by Clifford B. Harmon. All Americans join in admiration of the wonderful skill and judgement exhibited by you in landing an aeroplane at White House, Washington, October 14th 1910’. Below this is engraved a crest of a bird (Dove) with olive branches with the Latin motto ‘COR UNUM VIA UNA’.
