Length of varnished wood aerodynamically profiled and shaped at either end for metal fittings. One end fitting broken off with manufacturers transfer applied one side.

Khaki, 'maternity' style, serge coat with a fold down collar. Flapped, inset pockets in front at waist level. Long centre rear vent closing with two small horn buttons covered by a fly. Front closes down the right with four large concealed horn buttons and engages with fly of the jackets flap. Pointed tabs on cuff close with concealed press studs. Fitted with Royal Flying Corps shoulder titles.

Two long strips of canvas joined together at one end by a pocket, in which is a lead weight. Material is coloured in three sections, blue, yellow, red, with the canvas weight section in white. The red section has incurred moth holes at some time.
