Tip from propeller blade of early WW1 British aircraft (possibly Farman), carved out to take a French picture postcard portrait of Cpl Rose in uniform wearing observer badge and shoulder title RFC. Small nail and evidence of hanging brackets in rear.

Aluminium tube with a flat aluminium grip riveted to one end and a steel fork with bolts hole riveted to the other. Three brackets fitted along the tube for connecting to flying controls. Heavy corrosion on the grip and lightly painted matt black overall.
