Large central portion of aircraft propeller blade. Front face elaborately carved with RFC and RAF cap badges left and right with 1914-18 oak leaf emblem mounted inbetween with Victory 1916 above. Central design of RFC wings with motto "Per Ardua ad Astra" below with "Right is Might" above. Rear has hanging chain and pivoting stand (made from beading) for display. Engraved with "Carved by Air Mechanic R.J. Baxter No. 15506 Royal Flying Corps British Exped. Force Flanders First Battle of the Somme July to November 1916".
