Peaked cap with khaki crown, black mohair band and black patent leather chin strap and peak. On the band the RAF officers' cap badge of a crown in gold and silver wire embroidery and coloured silks above a gilt metal eagle above two pairs of gold wire laurel leaves. Part of the chin strap has been replaced with black elastic so as to make it easier to wear.
