Rectangular (green painted) wood and bakelite sealed box with hinged front compartment having spark gap and battery compartment. A copper spiral inductor with four scales is mounted on the face with battery, key, counterpoise and antenna terminals. A with window one side allows viewing of the spark gap.

Padlock shaped brass cigarette lighter with threaded fuel filler, screw capped wick and flint wheel. Engraved one side with combined letters JE and 1917 1918 either side of the Cross of Lorraine the other.
