Small brass spring balance for use in machine gun maintenance; consisting of outer cylinder with spring within which is stretched by pulling on the non-fixed end using a length of chord, of which there is a loop at either end, the other to permit fixing to the piece of equipment being tested. At the fixed end is a chisel-like attacment through which the chord is looped.
