Circular wheel made up of four cast aluminium spokes fitted with a black plastic grip. A steel 28 tooth geared cog is fitted beneath by a centre tube with nut. Plastic grip has broken and one spoke has possible bullet damage?. Varnished spokes and cog.

Khaki serge jacket with lapel extending fully to right shoulder and fastening with concealed horn buttons; shoulder straps and horizontal, inset pockets with flaps all fastened with visible, small horn buttons. No tabs on cuffs. The fall part of the collar closes edge to edge with hooks and eyes. The front lower opening fitted with a pair of press studs to keep it closed across the upper legs. The sleeves, chest and shoulders lined, but the lower part unlined. Short vent at centre rear. With shoulder-titles - ROYAL FLYING CORPS - embroidered off-white on black. With no rank insignia, but three War Service chevrons in blue above right cuff.

High-waisted, green-khaki, serge pantaloons constructed with a broad waist band and flap front. The band fastening with three buttons, the flap with four. A pair of slit pockets with cotton bags cut into the lower part of the waist band. Top edge of band fitted with buttons for braces. Lower part of legs cut off with a raw edge; no trace of fastenings. All buttons flat, lacquered metal, some pierced, some with rivetted through metal shanks.
