Aircraft & Exhibits, In Storage, X002-9820
Single-breasted, four button, four pocket, lapelled jacket with shoulder straps, false pointed cuffs and centre rear vent. All buttons gilt metal with plain border and coronet above VP. Pleated pockets in breast, bellows pockets in skirts. Traces of stitching on the inside of the cuffs indicate that the jacket was converted from the 1908 style with rank insignia on the cuffs to the 1916 style of pointed cuff with rank on shoulder straps. Shoulder straps bear gilt pip and crown plus a gilt metal CANADA shoulertitle. Lapels bear PPLI collar badges in gilt. The waist of the jacket cut without a flat panel for Sam Browne and no support hooks. Crudely embroidered below tailor's label inside collar F.F.R.M. Above left breast pocket - RFC pilots badge and ribbons in two rows - CBE, DSO, MC with rosette (top) 1914-'15 Star, War Medal, Victory Medal with MiD (bottom). Condition - good, some small, repaired moth holes. Displayable.

Lightweight cast aluminium pedal shaped to hold the left foot with the word "AVRO" cast into tread. Two countersunk screw fixing holes passing through tread with nut and bolt one end.

Long, pale brown leather coat, the front of double flap construction buttoning with five leather domed buttons on right side. Plain leather collar fitted with a tab on left and a button on right to keep it up and with pair of hooks and eyes atbase of neck for closure. Pair of flapped pockets below waist. Large, diagonal map pocket without flap on chest with opening on right. Cuffs fitted with long tabs and buttonse. Broad leather waist belt with leather-covered pin buckle, the holes reinforced with metal eyelets. Lined throughout in sateened cotton and provided with buttons for the fitting of a separate liner. Large internal chest pocket. Shoulders fitted with straps. Condition - very good overall.

Memorial card to Capt William Leefe Robinson VC, circa 1919

Folded printed memorial card to Capt Robinson, the card has a drawing of a cross with flowers with the words "thy will be done" printed upon it. On the inside of the card is a half-length portrait of Capt Robinson with a verse and brief details about Capt Robinson including his date of death and internment at Wealdstone Cemetery.
