Reverse - within a wreath of oak and laurel 2 DECEMBER 1873. Ribbon - horizontal pin stripes of yellow and black with a yellow, inner, and black, outer, border.

A silver cross pattee enamelled white with red edges bearing a circular medallion white with red edge lettered in gold VER DIENST. The interstices of the cross joined by a green enamel laurel wreath and gold crossed swords. Reverse - plain silver with white central medallion. Ribbon - for wear round the neck, red and white horizontal pin stripes with red inner and white outer edges. Gold crossed swords on ribbon.
