Round peaked cap with dark blue crown, black mohair band and glazed leather peak and chin strap. The crown stiffened with a circlet of cane, not wire so as not to upset magenetic compasses. The band bearing a red embroidered fouled anchor badge with crown. This example fitted with a vandalized badge from which the fouled anchor embroidery has been mistakenly removed.
