To the left of the buckle is a running leather loop, a flat brass hook (broken) and a fixed, long-neck stud which engages in holes pierced in the right end. Metal work secured by decorative stitching and brass rivets. Behind the buckle is a flaired leather piece to protect the uniform fabric.
