Left hand. Soft, tan leather gauntlet with large cuffs but no wrist fastening. The glove part formed from thin, unlined leather to give good tactile properties. Attached to the back of the hand a thicker leather, fleece lined mitten compartment which can be fastened back against the wrist by press studs or drawn over the gloved fingers for warmth. On this example the mitten compartment cut away and the incision stitched up. Condition - good and displayable.

Brown leather oval mask including nose cover retaining pear-shaped, assymetrical white alloy frames, on spring loaded, fabric-covered sides with pale yellow tinted windows, hinged on centre line. Fur lining, the edges of the frames covered in chenille padding. Black elastic, adjustable head strap sewn onto stub ends of original brown elastic band. Gold lettering at both sides: GOGGLE MASK FLYING MARK I plus A above a line with arrow below. WM. STEPHENS & CO. CONDITION VERY GOOD - but the elastic head strap perished. DISPLAYABLE ON A FIGURE WITH EXTRA SUPPORT TO HEADBAND.
