Single-breasted, blue cotton unlined jacket with five black composition buttons, stand - rise and fall - collar and two open, patch pockets in front skirts. The back edge of the cuffs slit for a few inches and provided with a button to close.

Dark blue cotton roll-up carrier closing with tie tapes. Internally, two button pockets for sewing threads etc, a fixed bundle of white fabric leaves for retaining needles and an open pocket. Pocket contains First Field Dressing and Iodine tablets. Buttoned pockets contain two cards of linen thread, two needles and a selection of buttons (4 black bakelite, 5 bright white metal) and in the other a thimble. Marked in white ink on the outer face 11520 G.L.C.

Over it there are gothic inscriptions in 4 lines: DARLEHNSKASSENSCHEIN / ZWEI MARK / BERLIN, DEN 12. AUGUST 1914 / REICHSSCHULDENVERWALTUNG. Beneath it – signatures. In the right upper corner – there is red serial number. In the left bottom corner – relief stamping of Reichsschuldenverwaltung, in the right bottom corner – red stamping of Reichsschuldenverwaltung. Back side: In the centre of the background – coat of arms of German Empire and ornamental pattern, to the left and to the right – denomination 2. Semicircular inscriptions – DARLEHNSKASSENSCHEIN (above), EIN MARK (beneath). To the left and to the right – denomination: 2 MARK. Background with ornament: 2 MARK in vignette. Creased and torn.
